On April 28th, 2024*, thousands of runners will complete a remarkable running journey at the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon.
The iconic route starts in hip North Brooklyn and winds around the waterfront taking you under the historic Williamsburg, Manhattan, and Brooklyn Bridges while delivering eye popping views of Manhattan.
From there, the route heads up the historic concourses of Fulton Street & Flatbush Avenue before passing through Grand Army Plaza and into fabled brownstone Brooklyn before finishing in Prospect Park.
The Course
The USATF Certified course* will be electronically timed using the MYLAPS Bibtag system. There will be timing (split) points and clocks throughout the course. Water, Lemon Lime Nuun Endurance, and restrooms will be available approximately every 1.5 miles, and medical support will be available throughout the course.
The Prospect Park Track Club will be providing pace teams for the half marathon (1:30-3:00).
Half marathoners must complete the 13.1 miles by noon. You must be able to sustain a pace under 20 minutes per mile and if this is a concern for you, it is imperative that you start on time. If you cannot, you must board the sweep bus or surrender your bib to a race official.
